You know that scene in Elf when Buddy redecorates
Gimbels and turns it into a winter wonderland for Santa?
.
.
Yeah that is ultimately my end goal when decorating for Christmas.
I just have always wanted to create a winter wonderland scene
at home! Take a look at this year’s attempt below!
.
Living Room:
.
My living room decoration setup turned out a little differently than it did
last year including the location of my tree! With the addition of my
new living room chair I couldn’t place my tree back in that corner
and instead had to put it up next to my TV! However, I LOVE the way it turned
out. It allows me to look at my tree more often inside the house and it also makes
it more visible through the window from outside!

.
Bathroom #1:
.
This bathroom is the least used bathroom in the house sooooo
I generally don’t hold it to my “oh so strict” color scheme
of silver and white with hints of red.
.
.
Kitchen:
.
I have always wanted a hot chocolate area/bar in the house, because
let’s be honest here, you simply CANNOT watch Christmas
movies without a mug of hot chocolate!
.
Bathroom #2:
.
I made this sign a few years ago and it is such a perfect
bathroom Christmas decoration.
.
.
Bedroom:
.
My travel tree!
.
Front Yard:
.
Okay, how cool is the Santa projection on the window?! I
picked up this projector off Amazon for a Halloween party
and it has cute little Christmas videos installed on it as well!
.
Newest Additions:
Walmart
New pillows for the living room were a necessity this
Christmas and these two pillows from Walmart won out!
.
I freakin love these little birdies they have out for
every holiday. I always pick up at least one every year.
.
Okay, again, how CUTE?!
.
As I mentioned earlier my hot cocoa “bar” was a new addition to
my kitchen this year so I decided to use this red tier
shelf to display the goods.
.
I wanted something small to go on top of the toilet in my second
bathroom so when I saw this pack of 3 little trees I figured
they would be the perfect addition.
.
I have been in desperate need of some Christmas shower mats
so I picked these up on a whim while wandering
the aisles at Walmart one day.
.
Finally, for Walmart, we have my favorite new decoration of
the year. I have wanted to get some inflatables for the front yard for
awhile, but haven’t just found the right one….until now. I love to fish. It
is hands down one of my favorite outdoor hobbies so when I saw this
sitting on the shelf I grabbed it without a moment’s hesitation.

At Home
A Charlie Brown Christmas is such a classic movie. Who wouldn’t
want to bring some of that Peanuts holiday joy home and also remind
themselves of the true meaning of Christmas with a replica
Charlie Brown Christmas tree?
.
I’m actually pretty sure that these are both
ornaments, but how sweet is this Santa?
.
The Cook’s Nook
This year I focused more on some of the little details including
getting a more Christmas-ey kitchen utensils holder.
.
One tradition I started a couple years ago is collecting ornaments anytime
I visit someplace new and adding them to my little travel tree! (Although
I think I might have to get a bigger tree here soon!) Here are the ornaments
I have collected this year. (Also, be sure to keep an eye out for my blog
article on this grand trip of mine! It was a doozy!)
.
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – Cleveland, Ohio
.
The house from A Christmas Story – Cleveland, Ohio
.
Missouri State Penitentiary – Jefferson City, Missouri
.
Minute Man National Historical Park – Middlesex County, Massachusetts
.

.
